t/c lockup
I have a bts valve body and when i talked to kale he said that with the valve body and the chip from jody that my torque convertor would lock up between 1st and 2nd gear instead of between 3rd and 4th like it did stock(i believe that is what i got out of the conversation). My question is would it be benificial for me to still do the t/c lock up switch mod or is the bts valve body/chip do pretty much the same thing and i don't need the t/c lock up switch. Thanks

I have a TC lock switch that I installed before I got Jody's chip. Honestly, since I've gotten the chip, I can count on no hands the number of times I've needed to lock my TC. Jody's chip has taken care of locking the TC during all the times that I needed it before. However, it's not going to hurt anything to have it, I just don't necessarily feel like it's a must have.

i like the TC lock override, and to be honest i use it all the time, i guess because i dont have the DP tuner chip. i like it when it downshifts from 4-3, it doesnt unlock the TC and have that "waiting period" of 4-5 seconds until the TC locks. i drive my truck like a manual transmission most of the time, and the TC lock does that very well for me.
