I just had an incident with a concrete filled bollard which left me with a dented bumper. I have a '05 Lariat that came with Arizona Beige bumpers and the backing sensors. Does any one have any idea how much it will cost me to replace the bumper? Or would it be something that a body shop could easily fix and make it look like new?
if its a cosmetic dent, they may be able to fill it. If you need a new bumper, it depends. Since they are the same back to 04, you may have decent luck finding a used one or an aftermarket repop. If youre worried about the cost, check ebay for bumpers, they are up there every now and then. You can reuse your sensors, just make sure you get a bumper that has the holes for them.
From personal recent searching (I'm replacing both of mine) I have found...
New rear bumpers seem to hover around the 315-345 mark.. the front ones are sitting around 220-245 ea. (Depending on Chrome, XL/Paintables) **For NEW OEM**
IMHO...
You should look for a bumper distributor local to you, chances are you'll save the 100+bux on freight doing this method.
As Bob already mentioned, you might look thro a local boneyard too... You may get lucky finding a Front-end or Side totalled F150...
