Performance Add Ons Needed
Looking For Performance Mods For My 99 7.3l 6spd-i Have 4'' Turbo Back Exhaust-volant Cold Air Kit-hypertech Programmer So Far-is There A More Aggressive Programmer And/or Chip I Can Get-i Can Run A Chip And A Programmer? What's My Next Step In Performance Add Ons-turbo Upgrade? I'm Willing To Spend The Money Just Want To Know My Options Are. My 99 Was Build 10/98

I would suggest guages and a custom chip. I bought mine from Tony Wildman of Total Diesel Performance (http://members.***.net/totaldieselperformance/total%20diesel%20performance.html). I have a 4 position chip that plugs directly into the PCM and a 4 position **** on the dash. It's better than the programmers because you can get the chip programs custom made for your type of driving/hauling, plus you can change the setting on the fly. For example; I have 2 tow programs (1 for the flats & one for the hills), a daily drive and a gimme all you got setting. You won't need the programmer any longer unless it can read codes. Then you might want to keep it around for that.
If you have the $ you can upgrade the turbo or stick an ATS housing & wicked wheel on the stock turbo. There are many options on this route! Have fun!

Check out Dieselmanor.com as an option for guages. The ISSPRO match the stock guages. The instructions are awesome for the do-it-yourself'er, color photos and step by step. Their kits come with everything needed, no need to run to the autoparts store.
