351M to 460

What all are you planning on doing with the truck? Headers? You can reuse the starter with no problem, you will need the block plate and flex plate from the 460. Depending on how much modification you want to do I reused the alt and powersteering mounts from my 400 when I went to a 429 (more or less the same swap as you are doing). I used L&L motor mounts and fenderwell headers, both worked out nice. (glad they did for the price "

What's the block plate? I'm not sure about the headers yet, right now I'm hoping to use the stock exhaust manifolds and I'm trying to get the motor stools. I just really want to get the motor in for as cheap as possible to see how it performs.
Then maybe but next spring I'll have saved up some money to put into the motor.

I had two issues when I took out a 351M from my 78F150sc 2wd and replaced with a 460 from a 79 van. One was I couldn't find frame stands(stools) from a F250 w 460 as they were always missing at the bone yard, so I made my own. Two was somehow the power steering wouldn't hook up and I'm kinda fuzzy on this one cause it's been a while, but I solved the problem by having a hi pressure side hose made. (old ones weren't that good anyway) May have just needed another fitting in pwr steering pump.
The auto C6 was not an issue at all with the swap and I used the old tranny. Other thing was the dipstick was about 6 feet long from the van.
ps The engine ran normal with the 351 radiator unless I pulled 3 horse trailer loaded and then it tended to creep up toward hot. The 460 radiator is larger

The 460 was factory in 80-97 trucks, which more or less have the same frame and crossmember. You should be able to find the motor stands and motor mounts at a wrecking yard. The Mounts you can also purchase new from ford or a parts store like Checker or Autozone.
The block plate is that thin sheet of metal between the flexplate and block. You'll need to to correctly shim the motor from the transmission. I don't know if thats its true purpose, but it sounds good.
