low idle.??
Hi Guys....A friend of mine here in the UK has a problem with his F350..I'll give as much info as i know...hope it helps...
95 F350 dually...powerstroke turbo v8 diesel...( electronic injectors.?)..fly by wire....ie:- no throttle cable......
He seems to think the idle is low, sometimes it will cut out when coming to a stop...more so with the air con on....he can't seem to find an idle screw/adjuster...Any help would be appreciated...( rev counter says approx 600rpm on idle)

Automatic or standard tranny?
IS the check engine light on?
Check oil levl and quality (due for an oil/filt change).
Same for the tranny if it's an auto.
Is it getting enough fuel ie, fuel pressure check, replace filter.

cant adjust the idle with a screwdrier on these trucks its all electronic.
the idle speed sounds just about right to me. i think the autos idle at like 650 and manuals 600.
does he have access to a code reader?
sounds like it is losing hpo pressure or fuel pressure making it die.

Thanks for the replys...have passed info on to friend....no codes showing...dosn't have access to a reader :-) he's about to do a full service in the next week or so....eng/tranny (auto)/fuel filter etc...
Thing is...it dosn't do it all the time...mainly on start-up (sometimes). more-so when the air con is on...thats what got us thinking about the idle....
