Tailgate dissasembly
Can anyone tell me how to remove the inside panels on my 2000 exciursion's tailgate? I want to get at the lock linkage. jingvalson@mchsi.com

Unscrew the pull handle from the liftgate, then gently pry off or pull off the interior panels. They're held in place by clips. BTW, if one clip goes flying during the removal process, you'll spend more time finding it then it takes to remove & reinstall the panels. Ask me how I know.
