My tranny used to ocasionally slip, but now it is happening more and more, and appears to happen on any gear. It feels like the engine continues to have throttle, but just rev's because it doesn't engage the tranny. (does that make sense?)
The last time I went into Ford for "thumping" they rebuild the tranny, and that only helped for a little while. Then I had a fluid service a couple years later when it started to slip.... that helped only a LITTLE. I am at my witts end.
Any thoughts?
I am afraid to say, it will now slip until it fails. Short of a rebuild there is no cure. If you get it soon enough it will only need soft parts, wait too long and you are into hard parts.

What is the diagnosis?
I had it rebuild the first time. When I had my last fluid service, the mechanic commented on how clean it was inside.
