1/8th mile performance...

See my sig for my mods.

I made like 5 passes against a 2005 manual mustang GT and unexpectedly kept up with him till the end. However I wasn't able to get past him out the hole either which is what surprised me the most.

I also raced another 2006 F-350, same body/box as me but he was running a bully dog chip, the same magnaflow exhaust and AIRAID intake, but no EGR mod as I did. He got me out the hole each and every time and I catched and past him before the 1/8th mile mark on all but one race and we were 5 peoples in the truck as opposed to 4 in his truck

Now I wonder how my truck was the only one having traction problems out the hole (even in 4x4 with hubs locked) that night... that sucks...

What do you guys do to avoid spinning all 4 wheels and avoid gettting the truck to jump like crazy... Peoples were telling me they though my truck would come in piece by seeing it jumping like this

What RPM are you launching at? Get rid of some of those people in the truck and you will run faster. You should be able to beat that mustang. I just walked in the door from the races right now. What were your times?

No timeslips, only 5$ race night...

I did not notice rpm much, but if I am anything over 15psi boost when I lauch, I just stay there and spin 4 tires while all other trucks did not had that problem...

Even another F-350 with same tires, did launch quite a lot harder than me WITHOUT spinning at all.

And when I managed no to spin, it would be a dog offline because I had turbo lag then.

By the way, the mustang always jumped me off the line and I had to catch up by the end...

I spun all four a little bit tonight not too bad. They put a lot of water down for those that like to do burnouts. Then they drag that up to the line with them. I launch at 2000 rpm's. Not sure what the boost is there since I was watching the Tach. I find it odd that the mustang would get you out of the hole. I raced a guy that I work with that has a highly modified Subaru STI and I even beat him out of the hole. He beats me at the end (not by much) but I can beat just about everyone out of the hole.

Musta been a full moon, I found myself at the track last night. My last run was against a Mustang GT..... I waxed the poor guy bad.

I was rusty, truck wasn't spooling like it used to, so I had to start building boost when I hit the pre-stage and roll into the stage light to correct the problem.

I snap the truck hard to set the limited slip before I hit the line. The F-350 axle wrap is minimal, and I have been wanting to clamp the springs in the rear to see how it acts.

One time long ago.... I feel asleep and didn't make sure I was in 4x4...that slowed my 60ft down. What happened is the truck spun and jumped then slammed into 4 wheel drive. I make sure that never happens again, might be your problem.

Of course not, I set it in 4x4 about 100 ft before staging line every time to make sure!!

What I don't understand is the fact the mustang guy dumped his clutch at like 4500rpm and he hooked and I couldn't hook up in 4x4...

Even my gtech was telling me I was way off in my 60mph times.... My best 0-60 of that night at that track was 6.4 seconds on gtech and I routinely get 0-60 in the 5.7 range on the street with 2-3 peoples aboard....

Anyway, that is no drag truck and will probably never see track again but that was a bit frustrating to see I was the only one not being able to get good 60ft...
