So I have a dealership from saskatoon and humbolt calling me back on monday to see what kind of approximate trade in value they will give me on my 97. Both trucks I am looking at are superduties, ones black and standard, and the other is white and an auto. Im sure hoping something good comes out of this and I get to head back to sask sooner then I thought!
New, i wish lol, both preowned. I was considering new, but it simply came down to this, brand new house or brand new truck. Unfortunatly the house came first since I can live in it for a tad longer then brand new superduty!
I'm partial towards black. White trucks just seems to me there are so many white trucks. Although white trucks can have more variety of decal designs put on them than black. But you would probally like the standard. That is less likely to give you real troubles in the future.
I agree with the I should get the standard 66. I have been reading up on them abit, and I see the autos do have some problems. I like black too, and have never owned a black vehicle yet, but keep getting people telling me I wont like trying to keep it clean. I dont know, Im a truck guy, I think I would enjoy keeping it clean!
I had a black Explorer sport, before getting my truck. It looked really good when it was clean but it was a bit of a pain keeping it that way. Any little amount of dust would show up, but my dark blue '01 is just about as bad. Your wright about being a truck guy and always washing our trucks, I wash mine at least once a week and I never drive any country roads anymore.
My wife always makes fun at how often I wash my truck. She hardly ever washes her car, I guess she knows by now that when it gets dirty enuff I will go and do it.
I have heard the autos were bad in those trucks. I have been looking more and more at the black superduty at merlin motors, 2001 supercab shortbox. If anyone has extra time to check it out for me, feel free!
