Tranny Help????
hey guys,
I have an 88 f-150 and right now it sits in my driveway... :-(.... Well I'm in the process of getting the truck ready for the winter so i can put my car in the garage, and I gott a big problem!!!!!!!!!! I've recently changed all fluids (tranny gear oil, rear diff., coolant, oil, brake) well I went to start the truck, and it did just fine. But I put it in first and nothing... no stalling or going....Nothing!!!!! What should I do??? What caused this???? Will bleeding the clutch master cylinder fix my problem...keep in mind that i didn't change that fluid, so there's no leak or any way air could've gotten in... What's wrong with my truck??? Please help cuz i need it for the winter and it's creepin up on me and i still haven't gotten this fixed!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have someone depress and release the clutch pedal while you watch the slave cylinder on the transmission bell housing. You may have to remove a dust cover or boot to observe the release fork move. Do you feel any resistance or action in the clutch pedal? Check for fluid seepage from the clutch master cylinder, usually observable from under the dash board. Run your fingers up the back of the clutch pedal. Feel wet? Your master is bad. Check the fluid. If it is dark or black, most likely the piston seals went rotten or disintegrated.
