Getting started
Well its time to get started patching up the old girl, 86 F250, has rust in the typical places. I have a mig and have a small arc welder and think I will get a small grinder and put cut off discs in it for removal/trimming. I will get some pics together tommorrow and post progress updates. And am sure I will have a bunch of ?'s also as I go! From what I have read it sounds like I will want to use weld thru primer on any seams and hidden areas once i get it welded. Also have to find something to paint/seal things up(por-15,rust bullet,etc.) The truck is a 2-tone and I plan to keep the paint on the good panels and get some mixed to match where I replace panels,the only unfortunate thing is I will be replacing both front fenders and hope the paint there will be close.

Looks like a good plan ! 
I would not count on color matching paint from the year 1986 on adjaecent panels. Save yourself some time and frustation and just go with a all over , total shoot. You will be glad you did. good luck.
