Auto Locking Hubs
Has anyone replaced the O'rings in the auto lockers? Mine is pinched. I went to the stealership and they can't sell me the O'rings. They want to sell the whole hub for $275. They said they would cut me a better deal, but they work fine in manual mode. Just wanted to get the auto working again.

what! thats weird, i got mine from the ford dealer for like 8 bucks, had 2 rings in there and the outside one to hold it all into the hub. The part number is 4C3Z-1K106-AA, if you haven't already, look at this page: http://guzzle.rbmicro.com/allube.html

Another thing to check is the seals on the axle, behind the hub, in the knuckle. It's a bit seal, that's pressed onto the axle. If it's bad or leaking, the lockers won't work either. Trust me - after replacing my o-rings I found out first hand those seals were important to creating the vaccum. I had to tear it all back apart to replace the seals.
