over drive light
i have a 1998 f-150 4x4 . the o.d light used to work but now it dosen't.i was wondering if there was a way to completely disable the function of the o.d. switch, so i would know that the over drive was not turned off.

Why would you want to disable it? It will actually significantly lengthen the lifespan of your transmission. Leave the tranny OUT of overdrive unless you are on the highway at over 60mph. Other than that, your tranny will be constantly shifting, and that's not good for it. I have never used the OD in my truck, aside from 2 or 3 trips when I had smaller tires on it. Now that I have 33's, my RPM's are only at 2500 while at 65-67mph (speedo reads 60 due to tire size being larger than stock)
