I just got my edge evo and i haven't had a chance to do anything to my exhaust but i read a article one time and it said you should put a better flowing exhaust on your truck before you give it more power than it came from stock! So my question is Do you have to put a better exhaust or anything to use the edge? Also what will it do if you put it on the high performance setting but don't have the 91 octane gas in it cause i have almost a full tank of gas and it isn't the 91 octane!
Hello Logg,
I cant see any harm the evo will do with the factory exhaust. I would think you will see improved results with freer exhaust. I saw one thread that recommended an evo over the exhaust if you had to pick just one for now.
As for the octane level. I would hold off until I ran that tank out before setting to the higher octane setting. You will experience pinging etc which will damage your engine if it persists.
Congrats on the evo.
another question i meant to ask but forgot my truck only has around 700 miles on it. Should i wait a while for it to get broke in any better before i put the edge on it!

You will be fine to install the edge now, I installed mine the third day I had my truck, no problems. Just do not tow anything of weight until after the break in, 500 to 800 miles. Good luck and stick the Magnaflow on.
