Battery light flashing

Hey guys,
My battery light is coming on after I start my truck (99 F-250 7.3) The ampmeter is showing all is good. Any Ideas, it isnt starting slow and everything seems normal.The light will flash on and then offand may not do this for several days.

Alternator! Check your voltage with the truck running and just all your connections. Mine did this, but my batteries were strong enough to run a while.

Mine did this too. My alternator was toasted. Now my batterys are getting close to toast because i ran on it too long. Made the truck run like crap too.

I had the same thing happen to me. Pulled out both batteries and the alt. When into parts store and had everything checked (for FREE). One bonehead said all were good, I asked for a manager to check it and it was a bad alt. I have been through a couple! It is hard to get a good one unless you drop a bunch of green.
