I have a 1997 explorer XLT. I am wanting to pull a new boat trailer I got but the wires comming down from the truck dont work. I am not getting power back there at all to the tow light wires. My regular lights in the back work just not the split down to the tow light set. What do I do? Do I need to wire it myself or do I need to buy something? I need to fix this asap! Let me know!
If you have it check your owner's manual, these explorers have 2 or 3 fuses for trailer lights. The trailer lights run separate from the brake lights, I learned this the hard way after several hours of cussing.
