Do I need new springs?

Ok, so it's a 94 300-6 E40D Reg Cab 2WD 3.08 Short bed.

So I purchased a new set of Wrangler HTs, and for a while I've been noticing that the passeger front tire seems to be wearing out almost twice as fast(visual estimation). This was before and after a new set of Monroe Reflexes. Both fronts wear out evenly, but the threads on the passenger front is wearing out faster. Is this a classic springs problem?

Please help....my experience only takes me as far as oil changes, tuneups, brakes and simple parts swapping. As far as tires and suspension, I'm pretty much lost.

You need a front end alignment. If you needed new springs one side of the truck would sag.

Please explain because I got a 4-wheel alignment with the new set of wranglers. The tires wear evenly. It just wears faster in the passenger front. I still have a lot of threading on the other 3 tires. Is there a part of the alignment that if not done correctly will allow the tire to wear out faster than the other side? and wear evenly?

Do you rotate them every 7,000 miles or so? It's hard to find a good alignment shop so chances are they didn't do it well or maybe didn't do it at all. If you go to get another alignment take it too another place. Also it depends on how you treat your truck. If you hit RR tracks at 85 mph or go bog the crap out of it, it can screw up the alignment.

I took it to Tire Kingdom, I believe, for the alignment. What I was told was that the passenger front needed new camber bushings. Since then, I rotate them every 6k miles, sometimes at every oil change (3k). I did get careless and went almost 10k at one point without rotation and that's when I noticed the considerable wear on the passenger front.

I guess what I was confused about was if the alignment was askew, then I would get wear on either inside or outside, maybe feathering, that type of thing. But as I mentioned, both sides wear evenly and the truck also doesn't pull or anything....just that one wears out at a considerably faster rate.

I guess I'm just trying to understand what is happening. In the meantime, I think I will take your word for it and get that alignment checked out. Needless to say, I try to go slow over bumps, tracks, etc., but it doesn't always happen. So if you're correct, then I'm as much to blame as anything else.

I've learned through experience to stay away from these franchise-type places. Somehow, something always breaks when I take my truck there. When Sears was installing my Reflexes, I got a phone call that my hard brake line was "broken". Funny how I drove it there just fine. I was told it "practically" rusted almost completely off. So now sears is off-limits for me. At Tire Kingdom, I did see a new bushing installed so they're ok, but who knows if it was bad in the first place. And, of course, don't even get me started on Tires Plus. I could go all night long, but it's getting off topic.

Anyways, thanks biggreentank, I think you're on to something and hopefully, this is the fix I need.
