rough idle and stalling when stopped?

rough idle and stalling when stopped?
I have a 02 F150 4.6L and the idle is much lower than normal, also when I come to a stop it will idle really rough and stall. It does this in every gear P,R,N, and D. Another thing is while driving it idles up and you have to keep your foot on the brake to keep it under 25mph. This started all of the sudden there was no warning. I had autozone check the prob since the CE light was on they said it was an EGR valve but I have been told that won't cause the problems I am having. Can anyone help, I don't know what it is???

iac
check around the posts about the iac. it sounds like that may be the culprit. you can unhook the iac and see if it makes a difference. but that usually sets a code.
same thing for the egr, look around there are lots of posts about it.
are your plugs and wires all ok?
