It is possible but sometimes not feasable. Everything you need from a 4x4 will bolt up, but its best to have a whole truck for parts. There are a few threads covering this in the offroad forum. They might be of some help to you.

Edit: where in FL are you?

If you can find a parts truck like yours with the transmission, axles and driveshafts, you're gold. Everything bolts up. It's easy to do it in two phases - 1st exchange the trans and install the transfer case. The truck can be driven like this until you're ready to swap the front end out. Make sure your donor has front end coils or leaf springs like your truck, as this is not as easy to switch. It's worth it if you can get a good deal on a parts vehicle, and you don't mind sweat equity. I'm almost ready to put the TTB front end under my former '96 2wd. I have already done the trans and transfer case, and I'm driving the truck now.
