Air Receiver Tank Question

If i have a 100 litre air receiver, how long will it power a 8cfm tool for before i need to recharge it? Is there a web site out there that I can use to calculate usage

100 litres is 3.53 cubic feet. Let's suppose you charge the tank to 125 psig.
Absolute pressure is 139.7 psi (9.5 bar) so the total air volume is
3.53 * 9.5 = 33.5 cubic feet at standard pressure.

Let us suppose the tool stops working when its inlet pressure drops to 90 psig
(7.1 bar absolute). At this point the tank holds 3.53 * 7.1 = 25 standard cubic feet
still in the tank.

Subtracting quantitites gives 8.3 cubic feet, so the tool would operate for about 1 minute if it consumed 8scfm.

One problem with this method is that air tools are often rated as they would be in a factory. Some non-100 percent duty cycle is assumed, commonly 50%. So the 8cfm tool may actually draw 16 cfm when it is operating.

Kinda like the "estimated MPG" labeling on new cars

To sum up what he said in short: Maybe one lug nut.
