Truck almost complete!
Went and saw my truck today. They got the Hypermax head gasket and arp head studs installed. They were just putting on the egr cooler and manifold. Kinda weird looking thing. looks like a big U shape with the EGR valve stuck into the bottom of the U. One more day! Im so happy.

Did you ever think about sealing the egr off all together while your having the head gaskets done? Seams like it wouldn't be as big of a job when the motor is all apart. Did they take cab off or leave it on?

Yes. Not completely off. Just lifted the front about 6 inches to tourque on the stud bolts.
And no, didn't bother to disconnect the egr all together. I can just disconnect the egr valve and it will get the job done.
