VIN LOCATION for mudduck_79
The vin # will be stamped on the top of the frame rail on the right side somewere about halfway between the firewall and the axle centerline. Mine is stamped right where the frame starts to bend down towards the firewall.

I agree with that location for 4wd trucks, but it seems to always be closer to the radiator support on 2wd trucks. Generally, on the area of the frame just below the battery box area.
