wont start

ok i just spun on a new fuel filter, jumped in her started her right up then it died and wont start. 1984 6.9 any help i gotta get her goin and dont wanna screw anything up

you did fill the filter up before you put it on, correct???

yes i filled the filter up pretty well to the top it may have had 1/2 inch or so to go but it was all the fuel i had

try cranking it for about 20-30 seconds with foot to the floor. then wait 2-3 minutes to let the starter cool off. it might just be a bit air bound.

Whew Ok it did finally go!! i was afraid of flooding it or something andhave a lot of work ahead of me but i just tried to crank and crank it 4-5 times with breaks in between and it finally went Thanks
