do you have a junk yard around where you live? well that is where i went to find out how much my truck weighed they have a large scale that you drive on and it weighs the truck... and mine was 5982 with me inside... but mine is not exactly the same as yours... but then again i knew the guy that owned the junkyard so i just drove in a said hey can i see how much my truck weighs.. thats my only suggestion but if had to guess i would say your truck weighs about 5100lbs
The weigh scales on the highway around here have scales - when you are driving by and they are not open which is often you can pull in and weigh it, and see it on the readout. No Charge and you don't have to go throw something out at the dump that you weren't intending to...
About how much would a 06 regular cab 6.5ft bed STX 2wd with a 4.2 and a 5 speed weigh?
Please let us know what yours weighs as that is probably the lightest configuration available for the new series F150's. It would be interesting to get a weight on a Scab with the HD package and the 8 foot box as that is likely the heaviest configuration available.
I'm lucky in that my home province is Alberta and for a number of years now there have been roadside scales available to the public. You simply drive on and observe the weight on the digital read-out (check my gallery).
you can go to your local grain elavator they should have a scale. pull on and walk up to the window and check it out. if you get a stamped weight it'll be $2.00 but if you just look they wont charge.
I havn't found my invoice yet but I do know that the GVW is 6500lbs. However you figure out the weight of the truck I believe is subtract the payload. It would be alot easier to figure out if the payload way actually 1000lbs. I hope my tuck doesn't weigh 5500lbs. Its just like the XL but I have ac.
I just looked on my california commercial registration card and it has as exact unladen weight of 4367lbs. I believe that makes the curb weight very accurate at 4600lbs with all the fluids and a tank of gas.
I have an XL 8ft bed std cab 4x4 4.6v8. With 3 grown men in the truck and 3 mountain bikes plus gear my truck weighed 5900 even on a very accurate scale. a buddy of mine jumped out and the weight dropped 160lbs. Dead on.
With just me in it, I'd assume about 500lbs lighter.
