front axles not engaging

front axles not engaging
03 f150
could use some helpful advice blew my rear so i was using 4 wheel drive to get it to shop when the rear locked up front disengaged or something broke anyone got any ideas the rears fixxed 4 wheel drive still dont work looks like it got some kind of vacuum or eletronic locking device on top of the diff housing
worked on all kinds of locking hubs never worked on independent suspension
any info or even pictures on what im looking at or into will help thanks
