1965 Ford Custom convertible- dad's car, gave to me @ 15 and flood destoyed it before I was 16 - first of my car disappointments
1971 Ford Maverick - burned a quart of oil a week. learned to clean & gap plugs. got towed from the apartment complex- they didn't like it sitting for 6 months leaking stuff on their paring lot.
1971 Ford LTD - grandfathers car, took it to Montana working on oil rigs. motor seized up when I passed out drunk and they put me in it and left it running all night and oil pressure got too low I guess. 2nd big disappointment, had 390 motor that ran hard.
1967 Buick Deuce and Quarter - bought it get home from Montana. got about 7 miles to the gallon, it used a quart of oil every 1,000 miles and had a bad carb. This sucker backfired on me while i was under the hood trying to get it started with Ether. Burned my eyebrows off.
1975 Pontiac Trans Am - first car bought for speed, loved that car, had to sell it when the clutch pedal control arm thingie tore away from firewall
1969 Pontiac LeMans - bought this from a coworker, he was a car nut. He special ordered this car with just about everything that came on a GTO without paying to insure a GTO. This was very fast and fun car. 3rd big disappointment- it got totaled out by a drunk driver with no insurance.
1984 Chevy Monte Carlo - good looking car but by mid 80's everything stock had no power so i lived with this until

Just guessing but they are probably enjoying reading through the old posts, find something they would like to respond to, respond to it and "voila", the post is back in business. I read these sometimes but usually do not revive them mainly because I see people complain about it being done. I see no harm in it myself.

Way back in, uh, 1975 I had an advertising professor who preached this: "The old is forever new!" I've heard it said many ways since, but you can't get around it. I got married (1970) in a suit style (normal folks didn't do the tux and limo thing back then) very similar to that of my Father's some 20 years earlier; double breasted, wide lapels, yeah, so seventies, huh? But you'll see it popular again..look at the bell bottoms....

And so it is with these threads. If it was interesting to some three years ago, it's still a valid topic to new folks...and those who grew weary of it should just move on and let the new folks enjoy what they did three,four or five years ago!
