fuel pump 95

Question fuel pump 95

I need to replace the fuel pump on my 95 ford diesel. I have been told everything but tht right thing. I read the form on the 97 model how close is it to the 95. Help?

I am down to pulling the pump out. But I tried turning the cam until the pump pop up. It won't pop up. I would like to know how to set the cam eccentric so the tappet won't fall down in the engine.

you turned the crank with a ratchet and 24mm socket and it didnt lift the pump at all?

do you have the hoses disconnected, banjo fitting disconnected, fuel pump bolts out? try tapping on it a little.

The trick is to twist the pump (don't pull up), that will break it loose and then it will pop up when you turn it over.
