hey guys, looking for leather bucket seats to replace the bench seat in my 97 f350 single cab. also plan on installing a center console built for ambulances to control all of my emergency lights, siren, and such. any thoughts/suggestions as far as the seats?

Hey 1997, any idea on what the mods would be? I just saw an ad in the back of a truck trader for some 01 superduty leather seats and thought those would be nice to run if they're the right price.

i just put 40-20-40 seats from an 02 into my 95 and it was fairly easy. the 02 seats have different bolt holes but they are made to fit so many different vehicles there are more bolt patterns you just have to find the right set. here is what i did on mine. I removed my old seats and took the brackets off of the seats (i had 40-20-40). That left me with 4 pieces, main frame, drivers frame, passangers frame, center frame. I then took all the frames off of the 02 seats and mounted my old frames on the new seats. the center console is the tuff one you have to modify the upright brace so that is can sit ontop of the main frame. then i drilled holes on the main frame to bolt up the new seats. (i had to do this 2 times because the seats would not go back far enough for leg room. then remount complete set and install. These seats sit taller than the old ones is the only drawback.

hey transplantX i will try to get some pics so you can check em out. and no i am not planning on changing the back seat unless i run across some as cheap as the front. i paid $88 bucks and drove up to dallas to pick them up. so i guess i got a couple of hundred in them over all.

Helpfulguy, whats the name and phone number of the place in Dallas where you got them? I live N/W of Dallas and would have no problem driving down to pick some up. Did you pay $88.00 for everything?
