lift pump problem???

lift pump problem???
I have a 2000 excursion 7.3l with around 70,000 miles. I was merging on the freeway and all of a sudden the truck lost power. Does anyone have any ideas what may be wrong? My gut tells me that I may have lost my lift pump and worst case, my main pump. Does anyone know what this may cost??
