Well I put the 10w 30 Moble 1 in my truck. I have maybe 45minutes of idel time on it. My idel went up 100rpm(quinky dink maybe)Tells me that theres less friction. oil pressure up 3psi across the board. I stopped the drain plug leak. I put in a new PCV valve. Eveything is leak free EXEPT the back of the oil pan area. There is oil running down the outside of the dust cover from the back of the oil pan area. it now leaves a 4" puddle under the truck.
OK with the oil on the outside of the dust cover/back of oil pan area. Is it the oil pan gasket(bolts are tight I resently replaced the oil pan/gasket) The rear seal is about 3.5 years oil and did not seem to leak before the pan/gasket change..rear seal???? There is no movement in the crank shaft, I was told that is the only way a rear main seal will leak, other than pressure.
Someone said that he had a motorhome with a rear main seal leak and he added K&W stop leak and it stopped it in about 500 miles. Is that hope for me??
my previous oil was Delo 15w-40 I don't think my 300 liked the delo because it had lower oil pressure with a thick oil, idel was lower it ran hott(er) But not HOt by any means just hotter than with the mobil 1
500 miles driving=? hours ideling????
Thanks Dustin
