Am I breaking down slowly?
I have a 99 Exp. Last night it started to make a low whistle or hum coming from the middle to rear of the vehicle. At least I think that is where it comes from. I wear 2 hearing aids and noise is a problem to figure out sometimes. Anyway it is not constant. And it is at idle or driving, mostly under 50 or so. It comes and goes. Sometimes it continues after I turn the key off for a about 15 seconds. I'm guessing it is a fuel pump problem. Or?????? Trans??????
I don't care about the noise but I am supposed to take my daughter back to college tomorrow and I would rather not break down. Is my pump on the way out or ? Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks for any help.
Edit: I don't know if it is related or not but my ABS light is sometimes on.
