if you dont think stacks are unappealing, you might as well go with them to begin with. i didnt have the super-cashflow at the time, so i bought a single exit tailpipe design 4" turbo back exhaust. at the time i didnt particularly like the look of the stacks. after the exhaust i wished i would have gotten dual exit exhaust. then stacks started appealing more and more to me, and now i have them. the sound is so amazing, you guys with 4 or 5" exhaust have no clue, the sound of that turbine whistle and engine barking through two 6"x36" pipes is orgasmic.
I put a 4" system in my truck from Heart-Throb Exhaust. It was very easy to install (no modifications needed). A friend of mine bought a "namebrand" kit and could not get the down pipe to seal and had other problems getting the system installed. I have not noticed a great mileage improvement, but I have noticed an slight increase in power. I also noticed more "turbo whine".

A matter of preference. They perform similarly for the most part if you listen to 4" owners, and I don't dispute that. However, I will never say I wish I had gotten the 4" system. I say again, I will never say I wish I had gotten the 4" system.

I am partial to my 5" Straight pipe system. In my opinion the 5" just sounds better than any 4" systems i have ever heard on a PS. And i especially like my 6" tip! I get more comments on the 6" tip than anything else on my truck.
MBRP is by far the best bang for the buck. We have installed many differant brands, and the MBRP is super easy. Banks is very easy also, but alot more money. I wont mention the manufacturers name "DIAMOND EYE", but it was a cheap system, and a total pain in the rear to install. Had to get out the hot glue gun.
MBRP just raised their warranty on the 409 stainless systems to 10 years.
