Got my '04 back today and they couldn't find anything to cause my "hiccup" loss of power...sat down with the tech, service manager, and owner to discuss my displeasure about my recent and frequent trips to the dealer.
They said there are two items not yet replaced on my truck that they see alot of problems with, and will arrange to replace those ASAP.
My question is that they have replaced a lot and so far have told me that what they are replacing has been redesigned ( and is on the '06s) and should elievate and potential problems with those parts...mostly sensors and of course the new turbo...so is that fact? Have they redesigned some of these parts? Or am I getting the run around to shut me up?
You may want to list the parts they have replaced and the order in which they were replaced so one of the Ford Technicians like vloney, CanadaGuy, or BowTieHatr (sorry if I missed anyone) can help out. It sounds to me like they may be throwing parts at your truck instead of truly diagnosing the issue(s). I read your other post and you are obviously upset and frustrated but it sounds like you want your truck fixed because you still like it, when it runs like it should of course.
Thanks...I'll have to get a list when they do it...but I will say that the tech seems to not only know the 6.0L (that's all he does) but has reinforced a lot of what I've read on here even the bad stuff. I also have to say that its never been in more than once for the same problem and thus far they seem to be fixing everything the first time minus the front end shake/vibration.
I should also note what they want to replace hasn't show any problems but they seem confident its only a matter of time before I likely experience problems with said sensors...well not said but I let you know when I remember what they are.
