Unhappy engine stalls after it starts
2000 f-150 4.6L engine stalls out after start up will not idle starts right back up and if given gas will run fine until you stop.

sounds like the IAC ( idle air control ) has failed.

Welcome to the forum. I agree, the most common problem is the IAC. You can clean it and it will sometimes work, but usually replacement is the answer. They aren't overly expensive. Any auto parts store will have them.

yeah, i replaced one on my 00', get it from a parts store, not ford, its much cheaper

Thank for the help everyone I replaced the IAC and is back to running now.
