I was wondering the best place I could find a catalog for parts my a 76 Highboy, particually looking for lift kits. The truck has a 4 inch body lift on it now and was looking to replace that with just a suspension lift. Maybe an 8 inch lift so that 4 inches of the suspension would replace the 4 inches from the body lift. . . trucks to hard on body mounts. lol.
Skyjacker is the only company that I'm aware of which makes an off the shelf lift kit for the highboys. If I remember right the biggest lift they offer is 4". Other than that your best bet is to either have custom springs made (depending on your location this can often be done locally) or have drop hangers fabricated. If you are a fabricator and have access to all the equipment it can be done relatively cheap. If not, you'd be looking at pretty big $$ to pay someone to do it for you.
If you don't have a local spring shop you might do a search for National Spring Co and Atlas Spring online. Both of those companies can custom make lift springs. The downside is they'll ride a little rough and they'll probably cost you in the neighborhood of $1500 for a set of 4, not to mention shocks and steering components.
Careful what you wish for. My truck rides smoother with a designed suspension on 44's than it did stock on 33" radials. There's a lot of factors that can affect the ride. 8" springs don't have a really extreme arch but they will be a bit stiffer than what you have now which is where shackle flips and shackle reversals can really help.
