I filled my V-10 SD for $2.499/gal for E-10 regular today. The oil experts are talking that gasoline could be $2.00 by Thanksgiving due to over supply. Yeah, sure. Me thinks Big oil is getting ready to teach the ethanol boys who is boss in the fuel businesss.

Diesel fuel is still high, though, at $3.159/gal.

All I can say is in March of 2003 when I baught my V10, gas was $1.39. Last fall gas was $3.69. Currently it is $2.75. I wont be happy until I see $1.39 again. I cant believe that world demand went up 300% in 3 years.

what switch you talkin about..............maybe the switch that goes from your truck to the 6cyl car in the driveway, hahaha. we need some more info on a factory switch..........i've never heard of one of them!!

the only thing i can do about gas............is to fill up when i need to.

screw the $2.oo / gal!! it should never have gotten over $1.50! i was in high school and filling up my 88 Z-71 for $20.oo..................yea i thought that was alot, especialy for a 15 year old working on the farm and a night job. now i can't emagin working for what i did in high school and trying to fill up! they've trained up to think that a $.10 drop is a GOOD thing! when i see a $1.oo drop that will be a OK thing, when i see it back to $1.oo/gal where it SHOULD BE, then it will be GOOD thing!

its the hole conflics in the middle east well theres alot more to it but anything goes on in those contries and gas goes up and the demande for gas is so high we as a country could not survive if they took it away so basiclly i think gas from now on will always be above 2.00 and as jason said you cant do anything about it all you can do is fill up when you need it. it just sucks to pay that much to drive.

There was an article a few years ago by some Ford VP of development indicating that they were considering a variable valve configuration for the V-10. I can't remember exactly, but he was indicating that it they only expected a 10 to 15% improvement in gas mileage as a result.

Doesn't sound to me like the concept would be worth the additional complexity....

Gas is about $2.75 here now. I have heard that gas will be at $2 by Thanksgiving. I'll beleive it when I see it. But if they drop gas to $2, how high will they raise heating oil?

Yeah, according to some "news" reports, experts say gasoline could fall to $2 by Thanksgiving. No mention of who these "experts" were though. Interestingly enough, "experts said right after Thanksgiving last year that traders were pegging spring 06 wholesale prices way up, but it took a full two days before the market reacted to that news. Futures had showed no movement, but after the report, from the ministry of propaganda I presume, wholesale jumped over 15% in 4 days.

Personally, I don't think it will fall quite that far this time, but some areas might. Two years ago we had a fall back where prices touched $1.70 late in the year. Last year it fell to just below $2 here, right at Thanksgiving. And I fully expect the event to happen again, maybe down to $2.10-2.20. I have said it since the beginning, there are trends to this, but the fall in prices always seems to leave it 20-25 cents higher than the last time it dropped a significant amount. I would not be shocked in the least to see it bottom out a few weeks before Thanksgiving. And then it will start going back up in December, and then a big rally next spring and we will top out 25-40 cents more than we ever did before We're programmed and people forget.

i have noticed a drop in prices in the last few days, about $.08 here in central LA, but this is one of those things that i would say all the people from missouri would agree on "show me"! if there really is an "overstock"........prove it and drop prices where a average worker can afford them! right now it seems you have to be a high powered lawer to afford to drive a nice truck.

$2.49-$2.59!?? Wow...... Here my local station went down to $2.99 and I was ecstatic! I guess here in the city we pay more for gas. We can only hope the prices will drop, but I don't think so. Looks like those kinds of prices are here to stay.
