before the seams rust

a couple years ago i brought a west coast truck to the rust belt. i thought i sealed her up pretty good. the bed seams, along with other seams, are showing some signs if rust. can i weld them before they get bad? any other ideas?

You can go to a auto parts store that handles body and paint supplies and get the seam sealer, like used around the roof rail andthen paint over it. Myself I had a spray in bed liner put in to take care of the surface rust.

thanks, before i painted the truck i dug out all the old seam sealer, sand blasted it, sprayed it with epoxy primer and used the seam sealer again. that's why i was asking about welding it. tom
