My wife and I just traded in our 2005 Freestyle and my 99 Mustang Cobra for a 2006 Lariat Crewcab. I'm still in shock - this truck is so nice I feel like I'm riding in a limo and I'm much more wealthy than I really am (especially now).
6.5' bed, moonroof, 20 inch wheels, about everything except the homelink. Meh. I don't need a $120 garage door opener!
Pics tomorrow - we've only been home for about 2 hours and had to clean out the garage to fit it in in there.
Funny thing, is this all started two weeks ago with me looking for a cheap car to replace my Cobra since it wasn't being driven.
I'll be looking for a beater to drive to and from work. I've figured out I would rather have one really nice ride and one beater than two decent rides.
Hey lemosley, what color is your truck. You be right, the Lariats are a nice ride. Heck though ya should have done what I did. I kept the Mustang too, and bought a beater for my dailey. My wife drives the truck to work because she only does 5 miles round trip. I do about 90 per day.
Truck is black with black interior. We swore we wouldn't have another black car, but there is something about this truck in black that just seems...right.
congratulations...I have the same truck, all black and the back seat area is like a bedroom!
1 oil change so far and zero problems.
( It is not really a truck, but rather a Cowboy's Lincoln cleverly disguised as a truck.) Enjoy.

.
Congrats on the great truck and I know how things go when you start looking around. I moved to Texas and started looking for a replacement sedan for my Ford Taurus and wound up with my first truck, an 05 F150 King Ranch.
After having 3 other trucks, all Fords, this is my first Lariat with everything. This truck is great. I love it and would probably get another one. I have had it a year now and after the few problems right off the bat its been great. Enjoy it and welcome to the club.
