I e-mailed Banks a few weeks ago about what their products like Six Gun and Big Hoss Bundle do to the Ford warranty, but they didn't get back to me. Anyone know the answer?
Sorry Wolf...I didn't mean to come off that way. Banks used to have it very plain in their FAQ's and used them as a selling point that's why I responded like that. I did go to the Banks site just now and looked in the FAQ section and under "Service" it's the first question in that section.
The Banks system is not the most simple to remove without a trace like the SCT or FlashPaq so that it doesn't show easily to the dealer.
Finally talked to Jeff at Banks. He explained that overall the key is that Ford (or the dealer doing the work) will have to prove that any addition definitively caused the failure of an OEM under warrantee piece.
So for example if you break one of you rear axles, which are rated for 1300ft/lbs then your OK since [their] products won't let you approach those numbers.
Real easy if you just go with the Six Gun since it unplugs easily and they'll never know.
If you have obvious breathing mods then you're into the above discussion.
