Mike, I have seen trucks with disk and no booster. I have never driven one with that setup. I suppose you could do the disk without booster and let us know how it turns out? You will need the dual chamber MC and prop valve for sure. I really like power disk brakes and the additional work needed to add the booster is not that big of a deal. Keep us posted!

Thanks for your input, I will in the future install a brake booster, not that easy to find in RSA so I was hoping do get by without it for a while until I find one. What do you mean by a "dual chamber MC and prop valve"?
Hey guys!I've got an '80 model F-100 with manual disc brakes. I like the power discs in my '81 F-100 alot better though.I always thought it was odd to have manual brakes as late as 1980,but I've gotten parts for it so apparantly it's factory. Jeff
When I did my conversion on my 66 I did not put a booster on and if I remember right when I bought the new master cylinder I don't remember a question about power or non-power for that matter. I don't really have any driveablilty issues with the non-power setup. I don't think it is any harder than the original brakes were. But I am getting ready to add the booster now. As I get older I feel the need to have the luxury items like power brakes, automatic, and ac.
I took the disc brake front end off of a 73 f100 for my 66 and it did not have power brakes.I have manual discs on the 66 for now and it stops ok to me but I will install a booster later
I had a 1975 Ford Supercab with a 360 and 3 on the tree that had non power disc brakes! The local parts houses couldn't figure this out, but I found out that power brakes were a delete (!) option for my truck..
