I found a few different size lift kits at Jackit.com for a 1966 F250 4x4. Just one problem, my truck is a 1965 F250 4x4! Where there any difference in suspensions? I thought they were about the same. I must be wrong! Thanks for any info!
hey i got my lift from jackit. inc for my 1966 f-100 4x4. i put a 4 inch sky jacker in the front and 5 inch in the rear. all the parts should line up perfect. the two year of trucks are basicly the same should have no problem with the lifts. and jackit i found was the best. they new the most about my truck and even came to my house to help with a part.
Sounds like I'll be buying one of those as soon as baseball season is over and I can get a job and it gets warm enough to install one. How much fabrication/changes did you have to make to the truck as far as driveshafts and axle angle and all that stuff? I thinkn i'll probably want to do the same setup as you. Thank ya much
Hey if you were asking me about the fabrication. The only real thing i had to do was on the front end. the springs that come in the kit are just a little to big for the basket. i asked the factory rep about the problem. i thought i had the wrong set of springs. they told me that the reason the spings dont fit perfect is because skyjacker makes their springs a lot more heavy duty then factory. they told me to take a cut of wheel and a diegrinder and angle the bottom of the springs just enuff to make them fit in the basket. also when you put the front springs on and there installed they will bow a little bit. this is normal they just take time to settle. and if you have never taken the spring hangers off before have fun because youll need about a thousand cans of knocker lose. and i would sugest that you have help because i did it alone and worked my *** off in the snow. have fun with the c-bushings. the rear is easy the blocks are pitched allready so every thing lines up. notthing has to change untill u go above 4 inchs in the front. then the radious arms will have to have some adjustments. hope this helps ya.
