Door question

I posted this on the 2004-2006 board also.

What year, in the 2000's, has Ford had a 4-door truck? I'm looking for the forward opening doors and it looks like the '06 super cabs are forward opening. Were there any earlier than that and what were the models? How is the leg room in the rear? Growing boys and all. With the 4-door, what size boxes are offered? I'd like the 5.4 with 3.73 gears, 4x4. Are all the seats bench or split bench types? I'm looking to buy used. Any other input would be appreciated.

from 99-03 the Supercabs were all 4 doors and forward opening.
from 01-03 the Supercrew had 4 fullsize doors

for the SuperCab there was a 6.5 ft bed available and i think there may have been an 8 foot bed on them in some years...im not sure

on supercrews i beleive they only had 5 1/2 foot beds

my truck has the split bench type seats

Hey,

I posted a day or so ago about my 1999 F150-XLT. I have the smaller version called the Ranger, not the bigger crew cab. I posted because I went to open the mini door on the passenger side and it got stuck where the top lock stayed locked and the bottom of the door will unlock, leaving the mini-door unable to open. At least it will shut fully though.. waiting to get some resolve on this problem though

Isn't a Super Cab another name for Extended Cab? The rear doors are suicide.

Yes, a bit confused here... so let me see if I got this right...

I have the smallest four door, two mini suicide doors, passengers sit sideways.

Then comes the CREW, then the EXTENDED, right?

But you are talking about a Ranger. Wrong forum.

TO CLEAR EVERYTHING UP!

Regular cab - Two doors, one bench seat. That's it

Supercab / Extended cab <-- same thing - Four dours, two in back are suicide doors, not forward opening.

SuperCrew - began in 2001. Four full size, forward opening doors, availabe with V8 only, 5 1/2 ft. box I believe (shorter than regular and supercab). Should be available with 3.73's, but definitely available in 4x4.
