I have a guy trying to buy my 1993 F250 4x4 5 spd with a 7.3L idi motorcraft after market engine with approximatly 68,000mi(truck shows 280,000+/-)Truck runs great. Never had a hitch of any kind in it till I got the truck, and I just recenly installed a reciever hitch(but no gooseneck) Its white reg. cab decent paint(some minor blemishes)A/C works good, other than that its pretty plain, AM/FM radio, manuel windows, bench seat.....What would be a fair price on this truck be. I kelly blue booked it and it seemed a little low, I guess not being turbo hurts it? Anyone in the truck buisness with an idea of how the market is at this time let me know your thoughts. I may decide to sell, but I dont want to give it away. I thought yall might be able to help. Thanks!!
I paid $3900 cash for my 92 F-250 4x4 ext-cab auto with all power with 277k miles on it at the time. however the guy was the original owner of the truck and had all the service paperwork on the truck from when it was new. it made forking over cash alot easier for me the buyer.
If you have kept all the service paperwork and a log like this guy did. I would say you could ask for higher than kelly blue book. if not than you may want to stick with what kbb tells you it worth. this allows you to get some offers on the truck if you are really wanting to sell it. but from the sound of it you are not ready to let it go yet. hope this helps.
Thanks for the info. That is in the ball park of what I thought, I agree with you on the kbb if I were really wanting to get ride of it. You are right, im not activley looking to sell the truck, But I guess if I had a good $$$ offer I might let it go...who knows??
