I recall seeing a good thread a while back regarding best shock absorbers for PSDs. I've serached, but now I can't find it. I've got a great condition '97 CC PSD 4x4 that 95% of the time is used as the family "car". The remaining 5% of use is to tow our 10,000 lb boat. There are fairly steep boat ramps in our that require the use of the 4wd to avoid rear wheel spin on the wet concrete.
On freeway trips, unloaded, the truck really bounces. Seems like its doing it worse now than before (it's got 137k miles now). Bought this truck used and not sure if the shocks are original or not, but I think it's time for new ones.
What to y'all recommend? I'm looking for good ride quality shock, but I still need to tow the big boat from time to time. Maybe adjustable shocks? Thanks in advance. Don't know what I'd do without the knowledge base here at FTE.
