1950 CHEVY 3100 PICKUP WITH FORD POWER HOT ROD RAT ROD
It has a 351 Clevland, New Hampshire, US location sitting at $3,550 reserve not meet yet.
When I was watching barrett Jackson car auction on TV, they were talking about how come so many Chevy motors in Ford rods, Even though they did say the 350 is a quality motor, the 350 is simply easier to squeeze into a old car then a comparable Ford made motor.

That`s the old Hollywood for you.
Now alot of people are beyond that and more than ever 302`s are being used.
While the sbc is slightly shorter there is a short shaft water pump for the 302, I don`t remember where to get one but they are available. Another idea to save space is a compact electric fan that is very commonly used now.
The 302/351 are very sweet motors with alot of potential for modifying, plenty of speed equipment availble so there is no reason to use anything less than Ford motor.
