Snappy door
My 2000 Ranger has a loud "snap" sound with both doors. When opening or closing, about mid way, there is a "snap" sound that comes from the lower door hinge assembly. I have oiled both door hinges. Passenger door is fine, but the driver's side is still snapping.
Also, Not having a Ford in some time, and no owner's manual, what the heck is the keyhole under the tailgate for? My ignition key does not fit it.
I wrote a less than a week ago about a moldy smell. All gone!

My Ranger did that on the passenger door for a while. The little rolling wheel in the lower hinge was popping about halfway through if I remember correctly. It was pretty greased up. I hit it with a lot of WD-40, cleaned the old grease off, re-oiled it, and no problems since.
