Cold Air intakes?
Yup, and its not. If you have a screwdriver, you can make your own.
In the tube between the throttle body and the air box, there is a very restrictive piece inside. Take it off and pound it out with a broom handle or something similar, leaving the intake tube open. Its basically in there to keep intake noise down. It also cuts off a lot of airflow. It looks kind of like a rocket when you get it out.
Cut the tube off (not flush) that goes from the front of the airbox towards the grille. Get some 2.5 or 3" dryer hose and clamp it to the tube and direct the other end under the bumper. Paint it flat black and it wont even look out of place.
For the small amount of work needed, its worth it. I just finished doing this to a '94 2.3 Ranger and it was worth a few HP. Will you get 399 HP? no. Is it cheap, easy and effective? Yup.
FYI- its been discussed a lot on other car forums that PVC will produce some pretty bad fumes when heated, like under the hood. Supposedly its bad for you to breathe and bad for some of the sensors too. I would try something else if you go that route. IMO exhaust pipe with some thermal wrap would be better.
