This is my first post to this forum but have been reading all of the posts for a couple of months now. I have a 54 ford F-100 that I am planning to get on the road. I am going to convert it over to a 12 volt system have been most of the pieces to do that. It has the 223 straigt 6 in it with a three speed with overdrive. I have not had much time to work on the truck this summer but hopefully I can get it running this fall.

Welcome to this forum 54fordpickup and FTE. With today`s gas prices the 6/overdrive is a bonus.

Welcome to the board!
Sounds like a great project. I know what you mean about not having time to work on the truck. My wife is a school teacher and has summers off, which means that she starts tons of home projects (painting, flooring, remodeling, etc) that I end up having to devote all of my time to.

Ah well, school has started now so maybe I can find time to sneak back into the garage for a bit.

Good luck with the 12v conversion. If you need any help we are always ready to toss out an opinion
Bobby
