Need help with this one

Hi Guy's.
My speedometer has started to work intermitedly and when it does'nt work, the overdrive starts blinking. When that happens, I re-start the truck and if I am lucky on the first try, it starts working.
I show no codes either. Has anyone had this same problem?
Thank you

Bring on the salt and sand season! A hundred years from now the only thing left of your truck will be the frame and undercarriage.

if you go looking for the VSS, it isn't always called the VSS in parts stores. I got mine fro o'reilly's and they had to look up RABS (Rear ABS sensor). take it with you for insurance. this sensor measures rear wheel velocity for any and everything the computer needs, ABS, cruise, speedo, etc. seems like mine was borg-werner RABS101 or something. when the looked up VSS it was completely wrong, but i had exact same symptoms. $20 or so, one of the cheapest and easiest parts you'll replace.
