Will not start, just a "click"
Hi all --
My 98, Expedition with 4.6 is not starting and just clickings. I left home and I heard a click and then the truck started. I then stopped the truck and tried to start again and all I get is a click at the starter relay. I tried to touch both posts with a screwdriver with the key in the on and start position, but it will not start.
I also tried starting the truck with the headlights on. The headlights never dimmed.
I took the cables off the battery and cleaned them up, but not working. Finally, the connections on the starter has some corresion on it, but I have not been able to clean them up.
Is the problem with the relay, or the corresion, or the starter?
